I have decided to do Christmas recipes all of this week. This Christmas tree cake can be fun the kids since they can decorate it with a variety of candies.
- Ingredients
- 1 (9- by 13-inch) cake
- Frosting
- Candy for decoration, such as gumdrops, shoestring licorice, nonpareils, fruit leather, and gummy rings

Bake your favorite cake recipe in a 9- by
13-inch pan, taking care to spread the batter evenly so that the top of
the cake is level. Let the cake cool thoroughly, remove it from the pan,
and cut it as shown in one of the diagrams. Assemble the cake on a
platter, then frost and decorate it.
